Hurricane Irma, currently a category 5 hurricane, is expected to have an impact on the South Florida region. Let’s take the lead and prepare our homes and ourselves for the storm.

Miami-Dade County officials recommend relocating to an area outside of the evacuation zone. If that’s not an option, you can find a list of county evacuation centers here.

If you’re riding out the storm in Miami this weekend, message “FLPrepares” to 888777. You’ll get a text response that you’re registered with the State Registered Response Team. It will keep you informed and provide updates throughout the storm. You can also message your zip code to 888777 for zip code-specific updates.
